Agreement to Terms
SoundTools.io (the "Site") is operated by XAAX INC., a Wisconsin corporation ("SoundTools," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and XAAX INC. By accessing and using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site.
Description of Service
SoundTools provides free, browser-based audio tools, including audio effects, editing and conversion tools, and AI-powered voice tools such as text-to-speech, speech-to-text, voice cloning, voice changing, vocal removal, and stem separation. All processing happens on your own device, in your web browser; files and recordings you use with the tools are not uploaded to our servers. The Site is free to use and is supported by advertising. Our services are provided "as is."
Eligibility and Minimum Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for using online services or for consenting to the processing of your personal data, you must meet that age instead. In the European Union, that age can be as high as 16.
If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use our Site only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Upload or process files that contain malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Upload or process files that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
- Use our tools to process illegal content or content that violates others' rights
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or damage our Site or services
- Use automated systems or bots to access our services in a manner that sends more requests than a human can reasonably produce
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our tools
Voice Tools: Consent and Prohibited Uses
Some tools, including Voice Cloning, Voice Changer, Text to Speech, and Speech to Song, can create or transform audio that sounds like a real person's voice. Because this processing happens on your device, we cannot see or review what you create. You are solely responsible for how you use these tools and the audio they produce.
Consent. You may use Voice Cloning only with (a) your own voice, or (b) the voice of another person who has given you express permission to clone their voice for the use you intend. You must not clone the voice of any other person, including celebrities, public figures, performers, and private individuals, without that permission.
Prohibited uses. You may not use any SoundTools tool, or audio created with one, to:
- Impersonate any person, or falsely suggest that a person said or endorsed something
- Commit or attempt fraud, scams, or theft, including impersonating someone in calls, voice messages, or requests for payment or account access
- Get around voice-based identity verification or authentication systems
- Harass, threaten, bully, defame, or intimidate anyone
- Create sexual or intimate content depicting a real person without their consent, or any content that sexualizes minors
- Create deceptive content about elections, politics, public officials, or matters of public concern
- Violate any person's rights of publicity or privacy, or any law governing the use of a person's name, voice, or likeness
- Present AI-generated or altered audio as authentic where doing so would mislead listeners, or fail to disclose that audio is synthetic where the law or a platform's rules require it
We may change, restrict, or discontinue any voice tool at any time, including to prevent misuse.

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by XAAX INC. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content: You retain all rights to any files you upload and process using our tools. We do not claim ownership of your files. As stated in our Privacy Policy, your files are processed on your device and are not stored on our servers.
Copyright Complaints
